Our Mission

The story of Jaume I. and Violante

The Jaume y Violante Association draws its name from two extraordinary figures: Jaume I, King of Aragon, and his wife Violante, a Hungarian princess who symbolized love, courage, and selflessness.

Jaume I, known as “The Conqueror,” gained fame not only for his military achievements but also for his deep commitment to the culture and unity of the Spanish community. During his reign, he championed education, peace, and shared values that became foundational for the nation.

Violante, the daughter of King Andrew II of Hungary, was Jaume’s steadfast partner in all areas of life. Through her Hungarian heritage, she forged diplomatic connections and demonstrated unparalleled compassion and generosity. She is remembered for her bravery and charitable acts, which provided vital support to those in need. Together, they embodied principles that continue to inspire: love, unity, and a commitment to supporting the most vulnerable.

Our shared values

The members of the Jaume y Violante Association are united by the same values Jaume and Violante represented: faith in the power of community, support for those in need, and a dedication to making the world a better place for future generations.

We chose this name because we believe these core values serve as a guiding example not only for the Spanish community but for all nations. We work together to implement projects rooted in love, care, and hope, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of children.

Plans for the future

Love without borders

The Santa Claus Project is just the beginning. The mission of the Jaume y Violante Association is to bring hope and joy to children’s lives worldwide. We believe every child matters and deserves a chance for a happier, more peaceful future.

Supporting Orphanages

One of our future goals is to support orphanages. For children growing up without parents, it is especially important to feel cared for and valued. Through Santa Claus packages and community events, we aim to bring smiles to their faces and show them they are loved and important.

Continued support for Dana Storm victims

We won’t forget the communities affected by the Dana storm. Our work continues to rebuild schools, kindergartens, and playgrounds, ensuring children regain what nature took from them. Our goal is to restore a sense of normalcy and bring the magic of everyday life back to these communities so children can once again enjoy a happy, thriving environment.

International missions

We aim to extend the love and support of the Spanish community to children in other parts of the world facing difficult circumstances. Our plans include delivering Santa Claus packages to children in Ukraine and Gaza, who live their daily lives under the shadow of war and conflict. We believe hope and care know no borders, and together, we can make every child feel supported and not alone.

A long-term vision: A better world for children

The Jaume y Violante Association is committed to continuing projects that place children at the forefront. Every child is a promise for the future, and it is our shared responsibility to provide them with love, care, and happiness not just at Christmas, but throughout the entire year.
